LIVING IN TEXAS — WORLD CLASS

Whether it’s their interior design work or world travels, Beth Dotolo and Carolina V. Gentry—co-founders of Dallas- and Seattle-based Pulp Design Studios (docservice.info)—consider themselves adventure-seekers. It’s no surprise, then, the duo partnered with fabric house S. Harris on a new capsule collection of 10 statement textiles filled with bold patterns and global influence. “As we were pulling the collection together,” says Dotolo, “we realized the textiles reminded us of different places we’ve been.” The Japanese-influenced Osaka, for instance, would look right at home on a kimono, and the cut-velvet Underground features lines reminiscent of the London Tube. When pressed to pick a favorite, Gentry and Dotolo go with Hidalgo, a modern, deconstructed take on Mexico’s colorful Otomi textiles. They’re so fond of it, in fact, both designers plan to use different colorways of the fabric for drapery in their own homes. To the trade, Fabricut, 1025 N.
